As we head into fiscal year 2011, we will all have to work together to maintain and continue to develop our Club. Rotary International is recognized as the most effective service organization in the world. It is our goal to be recognized as the most effective service organization in Twin Falls. This is a challenge, as there are many other fine organizations here. The Twin Falls Rotary Club supports many local service groups, scholarships, etc. Details can be found elsewhere in the website.
To maintain our membership, we must sell the benefits of 'Service Above Self'. I am a Rotarian because I make a difference. I can do that on my own. But I can do much more with the support of like-minded individuals in Rotary and the power or Rotary International. I am proud to be a Rotarian. It is up to each of us to recruit new members to maintain our numbers, strength, and vigor.
This quarter we had to raise our dues. Rising costs and decreasing income left us no choice. Our dues are reasonable and consistent with other groups in the area.
We will hold additional fund raisers, with the two present favorites being a wine and cheese social and a golf tournament. If we are able to raise sufficient funds, we can increase our service and potentially decrease our quarterly dues.
